In my Freshman year, I received a small scholarship for my summer study aboad in Italy.

During this time, I had decided on Mechanical Engineering as my major because I had a long standing fascination in how thinbg works. But I was also deeply interested in historical works. These include Art, Military History and Ancient Peoples.

Naturally, I would have come across lots of references to the italian peninsula. So I was ecstatic, after learning of the Grand Tour concept being applied for students to travel up and down Italy; and visit the sites and learn the stories, I had only ever read about in books or saw on television.

Before, I was more fixated on the technical aspect of university life. However, coming back, I resolved to expand on my opportunities outside of my major. I have completed many projects that have taken me to many places I would not have gone, otherwise.

It is my hope that I would be able to continue to see and experience the world; and take put in many human experiences.
